Buddhism has analyzed very carefully the Self, the way in which people view themselves as a separate individual and see the real world as real entities. ASSUMING I'M JUST AN OLD LADY WAS YOUR FIRST MISTAKE POSTER. The source of those false emotions is that we have the feeling that the "I" is an independent entity either within the body or in the Mind. So if there is really self, where is it? In the body? In heart? In the brain? Or is it scattered in the body? It is very easy to acknowledge that the Self is nowhere.
